Dear Visitors,

Please refer to www.ik-pages.net for background information and news about indigenous knowledge worldwide. The Nuffic web site www.nuffic.nl/ik-pages is no longer being updated.

Nuffic's Indigenous Knowledge Unit was responsible for maintaining this web site from 1992 until 2004. Nuffic has transferred its activities in the field of indigenous knowledge to a consortium of southern organizations. Management and maintenance of the web site is in the hands of the International Institute of Rural Reconstruction (IIRR) of the Philippines. IIRR is a rural development organization with over 80 years of experience in rural development in Asia, Africa and Latin America.

Should you have any questions with regard to the IK-Pages, we will be happy to communicate with you via the e-mail address below.

Lastly, we would like to extend our thanks to those who have visited the IK-Pages website over the years.

The Nuffic IK-Unit (ik@nuffic.nl)

Publication of the IKDM has ceased as of December 2001. We now bring out a newsletter entitled the Indigenous Knowledge WorldWide, published ten times a year. It contains information about recent IK events and background information on IK.

The Indigenous Knowledge and Development Monitor was a journal that served the international development community and all scientists who share a professional interest in indigenous knowledge systems and practices (IKSP). The Monitor, produced by Nuffic-CIRAN in cooperation with the indigenous knowledge resource centres in various parts of the world, has two sections: articles and communications.
