Aldo Caliari is director of the Center of Concern’s Rethinking Bretton Woods Project, promoting reforms of international financial institutions – such as the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund – and policies, with the purpose of democratizing.
Some of the criticisms directed to the MDGs when they were agreed were about their minimalist nature. Many observers saw them as a perhaps too narrow distillation of the outcomes of the conferences of the 1990s.
