Amagoin Keita
Amagoin Keita is a researcher and development practitioner that specializes in governance, decentralization, policy and institutional reforms, international cooperation and development issues. He is also a member of the Groupe ODYSSEE, an action-research oriented organization. He has contributed to publications on public policies, governance, decentralization and international cooperation. From 1995 to 2002, he was part of the team that set up the legal and institutional framework of the decentralization in Mali where he helped steer the process of its implementation throughout the country. He also worked as a technical advisor with local governments and territorial administration in the Minister’s office that aided the implementation of the decentralization policy. Later, he joined the management team of SNV as Country Director in Benin and Ghana.
The Malian government should consider local government their main ally in creating youth employment.
