Anne Moltès
Anne Moltès is the Regional Director for West Africa of Interpeace, one of the leading international peacebuilding organizations. She has worked in the field of peace and security for the past 9 years and has considerable field experience developing, supporting and managing locally-driven peacebuilding programmes in West Africa, the Somali region and Burundi. Anne has a thorough understanding of Interpeace’s participatory action research approach and its application in complex post-conflict environments. This has enabled her to foster long-term partnerships as well as to develop and guide the implementation of adaptive and locally-owned multi-stakeholder dialogue for peace and reconciliation.
Efforts to counter radicalization have generally adopted a security or development approach, yielding few tangible results. For a more effective approach, a context-specific perspective that considers the complexity of local, individual and group dynamics needs to be adopted.
