Jaime de Melo
Jaime de Melo has been a Senior Fellow at FERDI since 2011. From 1993 to 2012 he was Professor at the University of Geneva. His research focus is on trade policies, trade and the environment, and the links between regionalism and multilateralism.
The Sahel has become an economic, social and political breeding ground for violence but donor spending does not seem to address the region’s main challenges.
