Jessica Hagen-Zanker is a Research Fellow in the Social Protection Programme at the Overseas Development Institute. She has a PhD from Maastricht University; her dissertation focused on the analysis of the causes and effects of migration on migrant-sending households in countries of origin, in Albania and Moldova. Her research focuses on the interlinkages between migration and social protection policies. She has extensive experience in the analysis of social protection programmes and policies using mixed-methods research, and migration and remittances.
