Jopy Willems is a recent graduate from Wageningen University and Research Centre with a master’s in International Development Studies. Within her Disaster Studies work, she completed four months of fieldwork in Bamako, Mali. She focused on coordination efforts between the UN and the humanitarian community by interviewing employees from MINUSMA, UN agencies, international NGOs, lobby organizations, local institutes and embassies. Focusing on what civil-military coordination in Mali looks like.
