Jyotsna Puri

Jyotsna Puri is advisor at the United Nations Environment Programme's Green Economy Initiative. An economist by trade, she has almost 14 years of professional experience in the field of development evaluation related to poverty, environment, infrastructure and energy. Before joining UNEP she was associate research scientist at Columbia University, USA, and a member of the adjunct faculty at the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University. Most recently Puri was involved in an evaluation of development aid in Haiti. She has a PhD and an MSc in agriculture and resource economics and a master's degree in development economics, and is the lead author of a book on measuring human development indicators, published by UNDP.

Fighting the good fight
