Margriet Samwel-Mantingh, WECFs senior specialist for Water and Food Safety, was during eight years WECFs coordinator of water and sanitation projects in Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia with focus on the implementation of sustainable sanitation (urine diverting dry toilets) projects. Since 2009 her areas of work are pesticide residues in food and water, community mobilisation and water protection by developing Water Safety Plans for small-scale water systems in rural areas.Experiences and findings were published and disseminated at international forums and institutions, such as WHO, UNECE, UNHCR, EU, World Water Forum, World Water Week Stockholm.
