Michiel is a freelance knowledge broker and former strategic advisor involved with acquisition at The Broker. Michiel has more than 30 years’ experience working in the media. His positions have included chief political editor and columnist for Dutch weekly Vrij Nederland and daily Het Parool. In 2002, he was awarded the Anne Vondelingprijs prize for political journalism. Michiel is a political scientist and has authored and co-authored more than ten books. Between 2004 and 2014, he was involved in a large number of media and communication projects and has worked as a freelancer for many daily, weekly and monthly publications.
