Paul Lucas
Paul L. Lucas is a policy researcher and Integrated Assessment Modeler working in the Sustainable Development team at PBL Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency. His research topics include international climate policy, long-term energy dynamics and the role of the environment in human development. He has contributed to the Global Monitoring Report series of the World Bank and was involved as a lead author for UNEP’s fifth Global Environmental Outlook (GEO). His current work focusses on the role of the environment in the post-2015 development agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) have the potential to become a powerful political vision that can support the urgently needed global transition to sustainable development.
