Theo Rauch PhD, is an Associate Professor at the Centre for Development Studies at the Institute for Geography of Free University of Berlin. He has been engaged in development research as well as in development cooperation predominantly in African countries and in Nepal. His focus is on rural economic development. At present he is involved in a research project on rural transformation at HU Berlin (SLE).
