Volker Hauck

Volker Hauck is the Head of the Programme on Conflict, Security and Resilience at ECDPM. His experience and publications are on capacity development with a focus on conflict prevention, fragile contexts, post-conflict recovery and peacebuilding. He was leader and team member of numerous studies and evaluations relating to international cooperation reform, facilitated policy dialogue and learning events, managed long-term organisational change processes, developed ECDPM’s strategy on knowledge management and communication and co-founded the international journal Capacity.org. Previous to ECDPM, Volker lived and worked in various countries in Africa and Asia where he has gained extensive field research experience as well as practical exposure at the interface of linking relief, rehabilitation and development.
