Wilfried Steen was member of the board of directors of the Church Development Service (EED) from its foundation in 1999 until August 2009. He was responsible for inland and personnel programmes. During the 1990s, he was the chief executive of EED’s predecessor, the Church Development Service and development expert at the church office of the Protestant Church of Germany (EKD).
