Dr. Kathrin Berensmann is a senior economist at the German Development Institute (Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik, DIE). Before joining the DIE she was employed as an economist at the Institute of German Economy in Cologne. She received her PhD degree from the University of Würzburg (Germany). During her studies she was a scholar of the Volkswagen Foundation, the Robert Bosch-Foundation and the University of Würzburg. Her main areas of specialisation are Global Economic Governance, International Finance and Development Financing.
