Britt Myren is office manager at The Broker. She also works voluntarily for the foundation ‘Human Rights in Childbirth’.
Britt has a BSc in Cultural Anthropology from Leiden University. She focused on the Caribbean area, visual anthropology, gender and health. For her Bachelor’s she conducted research in Ghana on the use of medicinal and religious/magic plants. She also has an MSc in Medical Anthropology from the University of Amsterdam and wrote her thesis on risk perception during pregnancy and childbirth in rural Jamaica.
Her main interests are research, gender, sexual and reproductive health and rights, migration, indigenous knowledge systems of health/religion and global processes of medicalization.
