The 14th General Conference of the European Association of Development Research and Training Institutes (EADI) has the title “Responsible Development in a Polycentric World: Inequality, Citizenship and the Middle Classes”. Every three years the conference is held in a different European city. In June 2014, the UN-city Bonn hosts the conference.
The conference is a European forum for academic exchange, reflection and debate. 21 EADI Working Groups have issued Calls for Papers and reviewed more than 300 submitted abstracts. The presentations, mirroring their thematic approach to the overall subject of Development Studies, are a considerable part of the conference. Furthermore, 41 Panel Sessions are hosted by the institutional member institutes of the EADI network and independent organisations. Invited scholars from all over the world debate about a variation of topics.
