Join the community

The Broker acts as an intermediary by fostering active dialogue between different disciplines and networks. With a global network of academics, policy-makers and practitioners, the vibrant Broker community forms the soul of our work.

A dynamic knowledge creation process relies on an actively involved community. As such, there are multiple opportunities for you to join the process and to support our work.

Through our knowledge-brokering process, we produce different types of articles and texts. A full overview of these types can be found on our Themes page. You can contribute to them by joining our global community of authors, by enriching our debates through comments on the main articles, or by joining one of our frequently-hosted online discussions. You can also engage with us via Twitter or Facebook where we frequently encourage people to voice opinions on topics we are working on.

Write for us

The Broker is frequently looking for experts on specific topics to contribute by writing a research article for us. We also encourage our community to join the debate by contributing articles that critically discuss the research articles from multiple perspectives to create a rich cross-disciplinary approach to the topics we address.

Discuss with us

All of our articles are enriched with a comment feature for you to provide direct and elaborate feedback. We explicitly encourage our reader community to join the knowledge-creation process by leaving comments. Contributions will be integrated in the overall reflection, analysis, summary and consequent policy recommendations of our debates.
Additionally, with every debate we run one or more online debates, posing concrete questions to trigger a fruitful cross-disciplinary discussion.

Project collaborations

The Broker frequently collaborates with stakeholders from academia and practice in creating knowledge and brokering core contemporary topics. This may take the form of creating a dossier on cutting-edge events or a topic of particular relevance for a specific organization. This can include framing, stimulating, moderating and editing debates, as well as analyzing and publishing the outcomes.
