Busan: The Fourth High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness

From November 29th to December 1st 2011, government representatives, parliamentarians, civil society organisations and private sector representatives will come together in Busan for the 4th High-Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness. Approximately 2000 delegates will gather together to discuss progress in improving development effectiveness building on similar forums at Accra in 2008 and Paris in 2005. In the latest in a series of online debates, the Broker – in cooperation with the OECD – asked a range of inspiring experts to discuss the tough questions ahead of Busan: Beyond aid as we know it: How can the development agenda be expanded to be more effective and is Busan the right place to do it? and Beyond the traditional donors: Can traditional and new donors agree on best development practices, should they, and if so how will they overcome the many challenges to aligning their practices?
