▶Martin Albrow is distinguished visiting fellow at the London School of Economics (LSE) and emeritus professor of the University of Wales. In the 1970s, he was head of the sociology department at University College Cardiff. He has been a visiting professor at Roehampton University, the University of Munich, the University of Cambridge, the LSE, and Stony Brook University. He has worked on globalization and global issues since the late 1980s and is the author of The Global Age (1996) as well as books on bureaucracy, organizations and Max Weber.
