Pearl Heinemans is a project editor at The Broker. She has a BSc in Health Sciences from Maastricht University and an MSc in Global Health, completed at Maastricht University and Thammasat University in Bangkok, Thailand. She wrote her Master's thesis on transnational tobacco industry interference in the implementation of the World Health Organization's Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC) in South-East Asia. She has also conducted research on international tobacco control legislation, and has fieldwork experience in India.
Pearl's broad field of interests includes the interlinkages between health, globalization and environmental degradation.
