Jim Woodhill
Jim Woodhill is now Honorary Research Associate at the Environmental Change Institute (ECI) at the University of Oxford, Honorary Associate at the Institute of Development Studies and Independent Consultant at AgriFoodNexus. Jim Woodhill was director of the Capacity Development and Institutional Change Programme at Wageningen University and Research Centre in the Netherlands. Jim has 20 years’ experience in sustainable development across the fields of agriculture, food systems, natural resources and economic development. He specializes in applying systems thinking and participatory learning approaches to complex development issues. He has extensive experience as a process facilitator and in programme evaluation and holds a PhD in Political Economics from the Australian National University.

Over coffee I chatted with Victoria about the value of COS-SIS for members of her organisation. From the science side we often talk about how to engage with farmers realities. Victoria sees that farmers also need to be much more linked with useful science.
