A Coffee Chat with Victoria Adongo - Peasant Farmers Association of Ghana

Over coffee I chatted with Victoria about the value of COS-SIS for members of her organisation. From the science side we often talk about how to engage with farmers realities. Victoria sees that farmers also need to be much more linked with useful science. ‘Farmers often do things in very traditional ways’, she says, ‘not that this is always bad, but science does have much to offer in helping to improve productivity and linking farmers with markets’. Victoria is hoping the COS-SIS can demonstrate in a practical way how science and tradition can be bridged so that farmers can really benefit. It is a good sign for COS-SIS that the Peasant Farmers Association is here and actively engaged.
