Lisa Juanola

Lisa Juanola is currently pursuing a Research Master's in International Development Studies at the University of Amsterdam and working as an intern in the area of sexual and reproductive health and rights at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Prior to that she lived in Central America for three years where she worked on gender equality at the Central American University in Nicaragua and on women's rights at the Fondo Centro Americano de Mujeres (FCAM). Through FCAM she became acquainted with the important work of grassroots and local organizations like COPINH. FCAM supported Berta Caceres through the Mesoamerican Initiative for Women Rights Defenders.
