Tim Boekhout van Solinge is Assistant professor in criminology at the Willem Pompe Institute for Criminal Law and Criminology at Utrecht University. From 1995-2000 he worked as a researcher at the Centre for Drug Research (CEDRO) of the University of Amsterdam, publishing on illicit drug markets and international drug control. Since 2004, his main area of interest has been eco-crime and green criminology, in particular the (mostly illegal) deforestation of tropical rainforests.
