Dirk Bol is an economist with extensive experience in development, primarily in East Africa, but also in South and East Asia. Additionally, he has worked at the Free University of Amsterdam (VU) and at the University of Dar es Salaam. Currently, he is working as a consultant with Consultants for Development Programmes (CDP).
