Bara Gueye is director of Innovations, Environnement, Développement (IED) Afrique, Dakar, Senegal. He is a rural economist. He worked for over two decades in promoting local development and participatory approaches in West Africa. He joined the International Institute for Environment and Development in 1993, which in 2005 became an independent organization – IED Afrique.
