David Hulme is professor of development studies, head of the Institute for Development Policy and Management (IDPM), and director of the Brooks World Poverty Institute (BWPI) at the University of Manchester, UK. He has published ‘Global Poverty: How Global Governance is Failing the Poor‘ (Routledge, 2010) and ‘Just Give Money to the Poor‘ (Kumarian Press, 2010) with Joe Hanlon and Armando Barrientos.
