Ahilan Kadirgamar is a researcher and activist based in Jaffna, Sri Lanka. He is currently a PhD candidate at the Graduate Center, City University of New York (CUNY). He holds an MPhil in Anthropology from CUNY and an MA in Economics from the New School for Social Research. He is a member of the Collective for Economic Democratisation in Sri Lanka. He regularly writes on the political economy of Sri Lanka in forums.
