Jacqueline Vel is researcher and coordinator of the KNAW and NWO funded program “Jarak: the commoditization of an alternative biofuel crop (jatropha curcas) in Indonesia”. It is an interdisciplinary program combining the fields of law, history, anthropology, political ecology and plant science (agronomy).
