The SDGs have brought a surge of hope that is being translated into policies and procedures for ‘doing’, it is important that this hope does not disappear in the practices of politics and administration or post-development critiques.

Henk Jochemsen holds a PhD in molecular biology. Since 2009, he has been Director of Prisma, an association of Christian NGOs and church-related agencies working in development cooperation. Prisma is dedicated to studying and reflecting on development cooperation in view of its Christian identity and works in lobbying and advocacy in the Netherlands. Until 2015, Prisma received and managed subsidies from the Dutch Ministry of Foreign affairs, which it channelled to its members. In addition, Jochemsen holds the special chair of Christian Philosophy at Wageningen University and Research Center.
