Afua A Lamptey is Deputy Programme Head of the Conflict Management Programme at the Faculty of Research and Academic Affairs, Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC). She has worked in the field of peace and security for the past 10 years and has considerable research and training experience in peace and security issues in the West Africa sub-region, particularly in relation to the proliferation of small arms and light weapons, border security management, and gender and conflict issues.
