Nishant Shah is the founder and Director-Research at the Bangalore based Centre for Internet and Society. He has been one of the principle researchers for the collaborative knowledge programme “Digital Natives with a Cause?” at Hivos Neltherlands and is the co-editor for the 4 volume book Digital AlterNatives with a Cause?. Nishant has worked severally with NGOs, Governments and corporate actors in the fields of development, education, art and community building in the last ten years in Asia. He is an Asia Research Fellow (2008-09) and also serves on the steering committee for the Inter Asia Cultural Studies Consortium and HASTAC.
