Edith van Walsum is director of the Centre for Learning on Sustainable Agriculture (ILEIA), Amersfoort, the Netherlands. As a development practitioner, lecturer, trainer and consultant Edith has always focused been on the empowerment of small farmers, particularly women, in agricultural development. She became ILEIA’s director in 2007.
