Mari-Lise du Preez

Mari-Lise du Preez writes for The Broker’s ‘Treehuggers’ Treadmill’ blog. She works as sustainable development researcher at the South African Institute of International Affairs’ (SAIIA’s) Cape Town office. Her current research focuses on the governance of renewable natural resources in Africa. She finds it particularly fascinating, if challenging, that the governance of something like a fishery or a forest happens at the place where a natural system meets a social one.
