Paul Tjia has a background in cultural anthropology and information technology (IT). In 1995, he founded GPI Consultancy, a Dutch offshore sourcing consultancy firm. He assists clients in several areas, including offshore sourcing strategy, feasibility study, country and partner selection, offshore transition and cultural training, and promotes offshoring of IT and business process outsourcing (BPO) in The Netherlands by organizing seminars and study tours to developing countries (such as Surinam, North Korea, Nepal and South Africa).
