Peter H. May is past president of the International Society for Ecological Economics (2008–2009), professor at the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and associate director of Friends of the Earth – Brazilian Amazon. He is co-editor (with Ronaldo Seroa da Motta) of Pricing the Planet: Economic Analysis for Sustainable Development (Columbia University Press, 1996), among other publications.
